We are delighted to be appointed consulting civil and structural engineers on the McCarthy and Stone development at Stafford Street in Market Drayton.
The project included redeveloping a former garage site, near to the centre of Market Drayton, into a prestigious 50 unit retirement development over three storeys, for the over 60’s.
Our involvement in the redevelopment of the brownfield site includes the design and detailing of all private underground drainage, highways alterations and external levels information, as well as design and detail of foundation and superstructures.
The site required vibro treatment works to enhance the bearing strata in order to allow for low depth reinforced foundation strips to be installed over the stone columns to support the 3 storey traditional brick and block built superstructure, with precast unit floor construction at each level.
